As the weather gets warmer, more homeowners will be looking to put their homes up for sale. If you’re one of those homeowners, here are 6 inexpensive updates that will help your home’s value.
- Front yard landscape – a good curb appeal always makes a big difference because first impressions are everything. Whether adding flowers or trimming bushes, make sure the front yard is inviting. Always keep the grass cut.
- Pressure washing the exterior of your home and the driveway gives it a fresh look
- Interior painting will also give your home a fresh look and feel and smell.
- Painting the front door is inexpensive, but the new look will be effective. Again, it’s part of that first impression appeal
- Whole house deep cleaning is always a great idea. Who wouldn’t love the fresh smell and brightness of a newly cleaned home? Be sure to use Plugs In or air fresheners through out the home for continued fresh smell.
- If you own a pet, minimize the smell of your pet as much as possible. As the homeowner, you become accustomed to the smell of your pet, but some buyers may be put off, especially if they’re not pet owners. And some buyers may simply be allergic to certain smells and animals. I’ve had this experience with some of my buyers.
Homeowners, this is not an all inclusive list, but I hope it helps on your home selling journey!
