I guess this is both good news(lower rates, and bad news (higher home prices).  But really, this is old news.  It’s old news because it’s the norm.  Historically, home prices appreciate.  It’s the increase in home value that makes homeownership one of the best investments you’ll ever make!  However, it’s also old news because interest rates go up and they go down, and up again and down again.  In the 80’s interest rates were in double digits, reaching as high as 18%!  But the median national home price back then was $62,571.   In January of 2020, the average national median home price was $246,334 ($350,000 in Georgia!).  Today, the average National median home price is $407,100 ($475,000 in Georgia).  So, as any smart realtor will tell you, don’t worry about interest rates.  If you find a home you love and are pre-approved and ready to buy, purchase asap.  Because 6 months from now, I can almost guarantee you the price of that same home will be higher than it is now.  So get in the game.  Become a homeowner sooner than later.  Call me for more real estate tips!
